Everyday carpet care tips:

* The longer a spot stays on the carpet fibre the harder it is to remove. So remove dirty spots as soon as you see them.

* Take your shoes off when walking on your carpets.

* Stick to a regular vacuuming routine. Once a week, at least, but ideally every other day. This of course depends on how much traffic your room gets. Over time, dry soil scratches the synthetic fibres of the carpet and will give that dull and aged look.

* When vacuuming, try and stick to a slower pace of strokes. And try to stick to a uniformed pattern, vacuum from one side of the room to the other (vertical and then horizontal) this ensures all carpet fibres get vacuumed thoroughly.
